AP Exams

AP (Advanced Placement) exams are created by College Board and allow high school students to earn college credit if they score well. These exams cover a wide range of subjects and typically come in multiple sections. Taken in May, AP exams are an academic challenge and help students prepare for college-level work.

-Specific structure can be found on college board website

 3 and above means passing, with 4 and 5 scores typically earning college credit

Why are AP Exams Important?

AP Exams are important because they allow high school students to earn college credit, which can save time and tuition. Taking multiple AP classes and doing well on the tests can strengthen a college application and show admission officers that a student is rigorous and determined. AP classes can allow students to skip introductory college courses and build critical skills needed in college.
